Trip Interview: A Niagara Falls & Toronto Road Trip

Niagara Falls and TorontoPost Trip Interview With A Client
  1. What was your goal for this trip?

Every year my daughter and I take a trip to celebrate the end of the school year. It is our goal to see a popular landmark, and this year we chose to visit Niagara Falls and Toronto, Canada.

  1. Briefly describe what you did on this trip.

We drove through Upper and Lower Michigan, over the Mackinac Bridge, into Ontario, Canada in order to reach Niagara Falls. We stayed there for two days and then traveled to Toronto and stayed there for three.

  1. What was your favorite moment of the trip?

Our favorite moment of the trip, hands down, was getting that first glimpse of the falls.

  1. What was your least favorite part of the trip?

Our least favorite part of the trip was walking in Downtown Toronto. Coming from the country, we weren’t ready for some of the smells of the city, the garbage, or the amount of homeless people sitting on the sidewalks.

  1. What is something you learned about this area of our country that you didn’t know before?

Something we learned about in the United States was that Frankenmuth, Michigan is home to the country’s largest Christmas store. Knowing that we have lots of Christmas spirit, Kris at Wanderful Adventures made sure to have Bronner’s Christmas store as a stop on our itinerary.

  1. What advice would you give to people who would like to do a trip like this?

If you intend on going to a city like Toronto, bring comfortable shoes! Walking is the best way to commute in a bustling city, and you’ll do plenty of it. Otherwise, knowing how to operate the metro system is a good skill to have. If you have an iPhone, maps will tell you what transits to take specifically.

  1. Favorite hotel? Why?

Our favorite hotel was the Days Inn that we stayed in Grayling, Michigan at the end of our trip. They were very friendly, and the rooms were the biggest we have seen in a hotel! It was small, but there was a grand staircase up to the second floor.

  1. Favorite restaurant or food?

Our favorite restaurant was The Keg, a steakhouse in Toronto. Though it was a little on the pricey side (which you could expect from a steakhouse), the food was amazing and well portioned. We didn’t know it at the time, but it is actually on the list of the Top 10 restaurants in Toronto!

  1. Favorite activities?

We really enjoyed viewing the falls, both during the day and at night when there was a light show and a fireworks show. Also in Niagara Falls were the butterfly and botanical gardens, which were very peaceful and enjoyable to walk through. Niagara Falls also has a lot of shops and places to play, like the three mini golf courses and large arcade/pizzaria.

  1. Would you recommend Wanderful Adventures Travel to others? If so, why?

I would absolutely recommend Wanderful Adventures Travel to others! This was the first vacation that we have used a travel agent for and it was great. Kris asked what our interests were and included many options for things to do. From amusement parks to outlet malls to fine dining restaurants and food tours, Kris listened to what we had to say and planned a vacation that was perfect for us. It may have been the first time we used Wanderful Adventures Travel, but it won’t be the last!
