“Magical Evening” was indeed inspired by an amazing experience I had paddling with my husband. We had a backwoods lake to ourselves, the weather was perfect, the sky put on a magical show as the sun went down, and as we pulled to shore at the end of our tour, the forest lit up with blinking fireflies and two swans landed behind us. It was unreal. This 12" x 12" acrylic painting has a color scheme dominated by values of yellows, pinks, and light blues. Painted in a contemporary impressionist style, blocks of color dance across the water and sky.
